Energy Event

The Upper Valley Meetup will have a public event focused on energy on February 8th. The event will be at the Lebanon Opera House, and will include a screening of the film "An Inconvenient Truth" Al Gore's film about global warming. Cost will be $5/ticket ($3/student). Doors will open at 6pm, the movie will be at 7pm and intermission will be at 8 pm. The goal is to have an event that gives people ideas on concrete actions they can take to fight global warming and promote energy independence. Later in Feb we plan to follow up with a panel discussion on energy.

Before the film, during intermission and afterwards we will showcase local businesses, non-profits, and civic groups that have products/activities related to energy. (For example, White River Toyota has signed on as a major sponsor). We will have tables set out in the Opera House lobby and the rear of the auditorium for people to browse through.
